This is a beginner friendly tutorial to turn a bed sheet or pair of pillowcases into an adjustable pair of bloomer pants or pillow pants. Make sure to measure your sheet before getting started, and follow the equation below to estimate the waist size you’ll achieve.

All bedsheets and pillowcases are made different, to estimate the maximum waist you’ll be able to achieve from a particular sheet:

from a bedsheet, estimated maximum waist size in inches = (width of the sheet - 35)

If you are working with RAW fabric, I recommend a length of 80” assuming your fabric’s width is 44”. This amount of fabric will make an XS to XL pair that fits up to a 45” waist. 

If you’d like your pair to fit plus size, this is the equation: (desired maximum waist size in inches + 35” = length of raw fabric required)
